MORE ABOUT CREATIVE COMMONS
Creative Commons is a simple, web-based solution whereby artists can choose according to their needs a licence which allows them to share their works and allow others to draw upon the richness of this shared artistic community, or 'commons'. It is a user-friendly expression of both the Free Software and Open Source concepts in the arts, with a legal grounding that is watertight. A creative artist can choose a license which permits or does not permit sharing, allows or denies commercial reproduction, and requires or does not require attribution of the original creator. There are also no restrictions on the type of work: a Creative Commons license can be used for a piece of visual art, writing, videography or music.
This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.0 South Africa License.
